Privacy Policy

Does this online PDF converter store files? Uploads are processed for the conversion request only. Convert a Word file or image, then download the PDF to your device. Last updated 27 August 2026.

Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy applies to the Doc2PDF website and its conversion tools, including DOCX to PDF, Word to PDF, JPG to PDF, Image to PDF, and Merge PDF.

If you do not agree with this policy, do not upload files. Official company pages, including Terms of Use, Disclaimer, Cookie Policy, and Contact, sit alongside this document.

Does this online PDF converter store files?

When you convert a document or image, the file is sent as part of that conversion request so the tool can produce a PDF. The file is processed for the length of the request. Doc2PDF does not keep a personal document library, does not offer stored cloud folders, and does not use your uploads to train models.

After the PDF is returned for download, the upload is not retained as a saved user file. Temporary processing copies that the server needs to complete the request are discarded when the request ends. You should still only upload files you own or have permission to process.

  • no account is required to convert a file;
  • uploads are not listed in a public gallery;
  • the original file on your device is not overwritten;
  • you remain responsible for what you choose to upload.

Sensitive documents

Avoid uploading passports, medical records, bank statements, or other highly confidential files unless you understand this policy and accept the risk of sending a file over the internet.

Information we may collect

Besides the file you choose to convert, the site and its host may process technical data that browsers send automatically. That can include IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and timestamps. This data is used to operate the site, diagnose errors, and limit abuse.

If you email us from the Contact page, we receive the address and message you send. We use that correspondence to reply. We do not sell mailing lists.

Theme preference (light or dark) may be stored locally in your browser so the layout stays consistent on later visits. That value stays on your device.

Cookies, ads and analytics

The Cookie Policy describes cookies and similar storage in more detail. In short: essential storage may be used for the colour theme. If Google AdSense or another advertising partner is enabled, that partner may set cookies to measure visits and show ads. If a web analytics product is enabled, it may record page views.

Advertising partners may collect data according to their own policies. You can often limit ad personalisation in your browser or through Google’s ad settings. Blocking cookies may also affect how ads are measured.

Your choices

You can stop using the site at any time. You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser. You can contact us to ask what data a message you sent contains, or to request that we delete stored correspondence where we are able to identify it.

Because conversion requests are not kept as a user archive, we cannot later retrieve a file you already converted. Download and keep the PDF yourself if you need a copy.

Privacy questions

No online upload is risk-free. Doc2PDF processes the file for the conversion request only and does not keep a stored library. Use a private connection, upload only files you are allowed to process, and read this policy before sending sensitive documents.

Staff do not open ordinary conversion uploads as a mail inbox. Automated processing reads the file only as needed to build the PDF. Abuse reports or legal requests may require a closer look at logs.

Uploaded documents and images are not sold to advertisers. Ads, if shown, are served by partners on pages of the site and follow the Cookie Policy.

No. Open a converter, upload a supported file, and download the PDF to your device. There is no user library, so keep the downloaded file yourself.

No. Conversion requests are not kept as stored documents. Download the PDF when it is ready and save it on your device.
